Melo Carnival

Melo Carnival

The main festival in Cerro Largo is carnival. It is one of the largest growing popular celebrations in the country. The difference between it and other carnival parties, is that it is one of the few in which the public can participate. The most striking characteristic of Melo Carnival is that there is room for all its expressions: murga, candombe and floats, among others.
